Sr. SW Systems Engineer Audio
Description: Our Customer Engineering Support (CES) team works directly with customers and helps them from the phone concept to entering carrier labs and ultimately to their users hands. This role requires supporting the development and integration of Handset Platforms by putting together multiple SW components that include BSP SW, Middleware and Applications in order to enable System end-to-end functionality while meeting power, performance and stability targets.
As a senior SW systems engineer, your responsibilities include:
Debug complex system issues across the stack including drivers, Middleware, application libraries and UX
Onsite customer support for the entire SW system, its components, creation, delivery system, build system and any tools
Detailed interaction and technical follow through with development teams with issues/bugs and requirements.
Be able to work in a multicultural multisite environment
Proven customer management and communication skills
Ability to speak other languages such as Korean and Japanese is a plus.
Education Requirements: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with 4+ years of experience/ Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with 3+years of experience in embedded or wireless system software development and integration on embedded RTOS .
Skills/Experience: Experience working with audio software/hardware, Solid background on digital signal processing fundamentals. Understanding Android OS audio paths from UX layer to HW.
Experience in debugging complex system issues across the stack
Experience in wireless product development including entire SW stack software, Multimedia framework, android framework
Deeper knowledge of android OS for audio layers, multimedia and driver
Experience using equipment such as Call Box, o-scopes, In-circuit emulators, debuggers, Logic Analyzers, JTAG, Lauterbach, Mobile Test Equipment, test procedures.
Experience with mobile handset development is required. Experience in product/platform commercialization a plus.
