Fuse is seeking an individual with three – five years public relations and/or editorial experience to fill the role of Public Relations Manager.
Responsibilities include developing public relations strategies and plans and implementation of these plans. This position requires strong writing, organization and communications skills, media contacts and pitching experience (both digital and traditional), client services (leading client meetings and calls) and creating and managing client budgets. In addition, this position will help develop and implement social media strategy and content planning.
The individual must have a sound understanding of media relations, digital and social media, youth culture and action sports. He or she will work in Fuse's Burlington, Vermont office or New York City office.
Skills and Education Requirements
College Graduate with appropriate communications and/or journalism degree.
Knowledge and skills in the following areas are required: interact with media organizations of all types; written and verbal communication; client communications; client services; social media expertise, verbal and in-person presentation; project management and supervision; the ability to work with groups and individuals; culture trends (knowledge of youth culture and action sports required); budget management; and competence in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
