Office Manager - Eastern Office

Opens July 15, 2013 and closes July 31, 2013

Salary: $36,000.00 plus benefits

TYPICAL FUNCTIONS:
• Coordinate court appearances for Pathologists and other agency personnel to include accepting subpoenas, keeping court calendars, handling and answering questions concerning court orders, copying related case materials, and acting as liaison between agency personnel and attorneys.

• Responsible for human resources functions on division level, to include knowledge of employee policies and benefits, and processing of new hire and employee exit paperwork as necessary. Coordinate testing and dissemination of information and paperwork related to injuries/ exposures for employees and outside entities. Responsible for coordinating immunizations for employees as necessary.

• Responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner - Eastern Division. This includes the direct supervision of Eastern Division administrative clerical staff to include Receptionist, Records Manager/Transciptionist, Family Assistance Coordinator, and Investigative Assistant. Back up for all mentioned positions.

• Monitor overtime of employees and adjust schedules accordingly to minimize amount of overtime paid. Submit completed timesheets of all employees (excluding investigators) to main timekeeper (in OKC) no later than five working days following the end of the month.

• Responsible for working with vendors and contractors regarding maintenance and upkeep of Eastern Division facility/equipment/inventory in coordination with the CPO in the OKC office. Serve as coordinator for medical personnel rotating (students, residents, etc.) through the agency.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s level degree in business administration, public administration or a closely related field, and five (5) years experience in government management or similar work.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted at the discretion of the Chief Medical Examiner.

CONCLUSION
