Responds promptly to internal and external requests and notifies management of any unusual circumstance. Explains hospital policies and procedures to patients using outstanding communication skills
Job Requirements: High School Graduate. One year Admitting/Registration or related health care experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Typing/keyboard skills of 35-40 WPM. Exhibit outstanding interpersonal skills and customer service orientation. Computer skills essential.
Preferred Qualifications: Ten key proficiency, completion of medical terminology course, knowledge of insurance/billing requirements. Insurance or bed assignment experience desirable. ICD-9 coding knowledge.
