Enterprise Organization in Deerfield, a North West suburb of Chicago is looking for a Chief Technology Enterprise Architect to lead the architecture over the whole enterprise infrastructure including remote technology, security applications, hosted solutions, cloud computing, etc. This position serves as the chief technology architect leadership role for the conception, development and implementation of IT enterprise architecture strategies to unify and standardize IT solutions (current and future). Responsible for ensuring IT enterprise architecture strategies tightly align with business goals/needs, focusing on realizing business value through cost effective technology solutions. This position has no direct reports, with success critically dependent on the ability to effectively leverage and engage other employees and external consultants, in the development and deployment of IT strategies and associated supporting technology solutions.

Chairs the Enterprise Architecture Committee (EAC), which develops, maintains and monitors the enterprise technology framework and architecture. Focus includes addressing identified business needs, as well as proactively assessing how emerging technologies will impact company, both from a potential business-value perspective, as well as risk, cost and IT architecture framework perspective. Ensures tight alignment with the priorities and strategies established by the executive leadership team.
Works closely across all areas of IT department, to define and execute IT architecture strategies to optimize the technical architecture, across all IT areas (Strategy & Planning, Business Solutions/Applications, Technical Operations, Change Management, Regional Directors).
Maintains a consolidated iterative 3-year rolling IT enterprise architecture strategy, which includes on-going strategy assessment (current versus future state), and maintenance plans for all enterprise areas (eg, upgrades; end of life, etc.). Ensures effective IT resource allocation (strategy, schedule, people, hardware/software assets, budget), and proactive integration management with major project initiatives (IT and business) and the fiscal year budgeting and projection process.
Effectively collaborates with stakeholders to gain collective buy-in on strategies. Identifies and understands current/future business issues (not yet articulated), to understand key opportunities where IT can provide value to the business.
Facilitates proactive visibility to management on enterprise IT vendors' overall direction/strategies, and IT insights specific to the Beverages/CPG industry.
Champions R&D efforts to identify IT innovation opportunities and associated business impacts (value and risk), partnering closely with IT and business stakeholders. Leads and/or assists with development of associated project plans, incorporating change-management components and clearly defined criteria to measure project success against defined business outcomes (eg, ROI, etc.) to maximize deployment effectiveness with the employee community.
Ensures consistent use of IT enterprise architecture strategy, framework and supporting processes, in conjunction with fellow IT stakeholders. Participant in the Change Control committee, playing a leadership role facilitating proactive identification of integration management impacts across projects, IT functions and planned projects. Capitalizes on opportunities to leverage existing IT enterprise architecture framework and strategies to meet business needs.
Cultivates deep, trusting relationships with others. Promotes inter-departmental communications and relationships, through effective communications and practices. Facilitates issue resolution and consensus across all levels of the organization.

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field 10-15 years progressive experience in Information Systems. Ability to work in a dynamic environment, consistently delivering on commitments, simultaneously engaging in multiple projects and activities; Self-starter. Demonstrated ability to think outside the box - Innovative. Demonstrated success developing and deploying IT enterprise architecture strategies that deliver measurable business benefits, in a cost effective manner. Demonstrated proficiency and ability to solve businesses needs and opportunities, first validating business needs/opportunities/impacts/risks - including needed process or organization changes; and then enhancing with technology-based solutions. Proven ability to effectively communicate complex IT ideas, issues, concepts and solutions across all levels of the organization, including the executive leadership team, IT personnel, business operational employees and consultants (written & verbal). Solid business acumen across core functional areas/processes. Proficient knowledge across multiple IT disciplines, with working technical knowledge/breadth across all major IT disciplines:

o SECURITY: Application security, authentication principles, local and wide area networks, MS networks and Active Directory/LDAP, wireless networking, cloud computing, remote access solutions, Internet Firewalls, e-mail systems, database, Internet security, intrusion detection, IT SOX controls.

o PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Large scale IT enterprise-wide solution deployments (ie, initiatives of 8months + in duration, project teams consisting of 15-50+ Full time team members, impacting 500+ employees). IT methodology (ITIL, PMI), including change management components.

o PCs/HAND-HELD DEVICES: Windows PCs, hand-held devices (eg, Blackberry, iPhone/iPad) and associated systems software including the operating system, applications software, and related security administration tools.

o NETWORK: Voice/data, telecommunications, hardware, systems software, data center, Internet and elated protocols, and performance monitoring tools.

o DATA CENTER/OPERATIONS: Enterprise systems (high availability), data center operations, Enterprise UNIX Servers, Windows Servers, enterprise data storage/backup/recovery systems, virtualization, systems software including the operating system, utility and performance monitoring agents.

o APPLICATIONS: Client Server, cloud computing, collaboration, ERP (SAP), manufacturing plant systems/devices (RFID/scanners, bar coding, etc.), data warehousing/analytics, ASP/Hosted solutions.

Preferred Experience:
Master's Degree in Business Administration, or related field. Consumer products and/or beverage industry experience. Experience with international organizations with diverse cultures, business operations and organization needs. Foreign language proficiency is a plus.
