Business Systems Analyst Sr - Oracle (PO Management)

The purpose of the Software Business Analyst is to support the design and development of TMS system by gathering business requirements, developing and implementing workflows and process solutions, assessing alternatives, and determining the impact of these solutions to the existing software design and process work breakdown. This is accomplished with the use of business analysis tools and documenting solutions in the form of a client and business requirements documents. The business analyst works closely with SCO businesses such as Transportation, Distribution, Planning, Procurement, Finance, and the technology teams to ensure that designed solutions and business processes are feasible, meet the requirements and support strategic business initiatives. The business analyst also interacts with suppliers and carriers to support, track and ensure compliance to redesigned process and data workflows.

o Perform unit, integrated and functional tests and resolve issues found during testing.

o Troubleshoot and debug applications systems, reports and interfaces.

o Communicate expectations and achieve compliance.

o Adept at determining requirements by interviewing business clients, reviewing documentation and facilitating working sessions.

o Adept at creating business process models based on the requirements using Visio and other tools.

o Able to present proposed solutions to business stakeholders and management via whiteboard and PowerPoint.

o Create technical design documents from business requirements.

Job Requirements:
o Strong oral and written communication skills.

o Analytical approach to troubleshoot issues and break complex problems.

o Solid understanding of supply chain functions and Starbucks network.

o System Development Life Cycle involvement which includes planning, analysis, design, testing and implementation.

o Experience working with large cross-functional teams.

o Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems independently and to generate innovative solutions.

Education:
o Bachelor's degree in business or computer science

Experience:
o The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 yearsÂ’ experience as a business analyst writing detailed functional specifications.
