Job Description:
Responsible for administering and maintaining a medium-sized SharePoint 2007 portal and oversee the migration of this portal to SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2013 when required.
Make technical recommendations in the area of performance improvements.
Single point of contact between SharePoint users and the Government SharePoint Farm Administrators.
Work with and lead team members to ensure all system processes and procedures are documented in a clear manner.
Develop and implement solutions for critical business needs utilizing custom web parts and work flows.
Develop and implement critical SharePoint collaboration solutions and sites using SharePoint 2007/2010.
Lead and facilitate information gathering sessions with customers and business analysts to validate business cases, gather and document business and functional objectives to design SharePoint solutions that satisfy business requirements.
Troubleshoot SharePoint application issues.
Advise site owners, end users, and customers on the capabilities and use of SharePoint.
Provide knowledge and experience integrating SharePoint with other applications/databases, i.e. Access, SQL, InfoPath, etc.
Enforce change management procedures; ensure that system change follows established processes and has minimal negative impact on the SharePoint system infrastructure; collect and report on system baseline metrics.

Qualifications:
Successful candidates should have a Bachelors degree and 6+ years relevant experience (or commensurate combination of education, training and experience).
Minimum of 4 years experience in administering, developing, and maintaining SharePoint 2007/2010 portal sites.
Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques for SharePoint configuration and web part issues.
Experience working with Line of Business applications in SharePoint 2007/2010.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
Knowledge and familiarity with SharePoint Disaster Recovery techniques and best practices.
Experience with development and deployment of web parts.
Knowledge and experience working with and establishing workflows within the SharePoint environment.
Experience using ASP .NET 2.0/3.5, JavaScript, Visual Studio 2012, Microsoft Team System, SharePoint Developer, HTML, basic Java script and other Microsoft-based technologies.
Must possess advanced knowledge of business workflows and have an in depth understanding of the capabilities of SharePoint, Windows SharePoint Services, SharePoint Designer/Visual Studio 2012.

Preferred Additional Skills:
Security+ desired.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
Excellent organization, communication and writing skills, and have the ability to express yourself in technical discussions via strategy, implementation, and design of SharePoint environments.
Previous experience supporting DoD/government customers.

This position requires the candidate to already possess an active Secret clearance and to maintain the clearance.
