This position is contingent upon contract award.
This is a temporary, part-time and on-call position with no benefits associated.
Serves as a Logistics Associate on performing physical inventories.
Typically responsible for tracking and inventorying high volume and high cost government and university equipment and furniture.
Prepares inventory records and reports and investigates discrepancies in stock counts.
Establishes and communicates completion dates for deliverables.
Verifies accuracy of inventory location and reconciliation of records.
Resolves most questions and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher level of support.
Perform physical inventory and ensure the identification of assets that are in-scope
Place a sticker on assets to signify that asset has been scanned or is in need of barcode label
Capture data using bar code scanners and digital camera
Enter additional asset data into barcode scanners
Perform daily downloading and cleaning of data
Assist in the reconciliation of data
Communicate with client representatives regarding building access, asset location, asset data and missing or problem assets
Investigate missing or problem assets
Track areas of facilities that have been inventoried
Report status to Project Lead on a daily basis
Performs all other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent plus Minimum two (2) years experience performing fixed asset physical inventories in an enterprise environment
Experience using handheld barcode scanning devices and digital cameras
Experience interfacing with client representatives in support of meeting project goals
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a project team
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel a plus
Knowledge of Asset Locator systems a plus
