Edelman Washington, D.C. seeks dynamic Senior Account Executive to join the Digital Crisis team within its pioneering Digital Public Affairs team. We deliver integrated online communications solutions to a wide variety of clients spanning energy, healthcare, international, corporate and non-profit. We have deep expertise in online campaigns, strategic online monitoring, blogger relations, grassroots advocacy and smart Web site build and launch strategies.
In this position on Edelman D.C.’s fastest growing practice you will work with Fortune 100 companies to manage an array of crises affecting their reputations online and craft and execute creative, effective online strategy. You will also deliver world-class client service in a fast-moving environment that requires flexibility, stamina and good humor.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: The Senior Account Executive must have at least two years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media and publishing.
QUALIFICATIONS: The Senior Account Executive should have a bachelor’s degree, a solid grasp of public relations and Web 2+ tools, and superior research, writing and editing skills. S/he should have the ability to work effectively team members and clients. Experience managing social media issues and reputational hazards is highly preferred. S/he must be highly organized with the ability to manage multiple project deadlines efficiently. Basic understanding of litigation and legal issues a plus.
Participate in client meetings and conference calls
Manage projects working with staff and vendors to ensure superior quality standards are met
Conduct monthly activity reporting
Research, write and edit materials
Conduct strategic media relations that create favorable coverage, incorporating clients' key messages
Contribute to the research, development and writing of digital program plans
Compile media results for clients
Keep account team abreast of timelines and deadlines
