This position will provide project leadership for all aspects of electronic security detention projects. The incumbent will be responsible for all financial aspects of projects, including but not limited to: invoicing, receivables, and labor/material spending. The incumbent will be responsible for supervision of engineering and administrative staff, determining needs and scheduling people/resources effectively, training and staff development. The Project Engineering Manager also provides technical direction of all projects, ensures that all designs meet the intent of the specifications, controls product quality, develops methods to improve efficiencies and monitors/measures staff’s key performance indicators. Finally, the incumbent will interface and coordinate with customers, project contractors and consultants.
The incumbent will be required to handle multiple projects at any given time, all with varying schedules, scopes of work, staffing levels and requirements.
The incumbent will be required to interface with subcontractors: assuring that all contractor invoicing/payments are correct and verifying that the subcontractor is performing assigned work in a timely fashion with attention to quality and meeting all project requirements.
This position reports directly to the Director of Engineering. This position will work closely with other Project Managers, Sales Engineers, and the Manufacturing/Service Manager. Commissioning Engineers, Project Engineers, Senior Engineers, and Project Administrators will report directly to this position.

Skills or experience with personal computers, including electronic E-mail, personal scheduling, word processing and electronic spreadsheet skills.

•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Technology, Computer Science Technology, or related field
•3-4 years’ experience working in the detention electronics industry preferred
•Previous project management and supervisory experience
•Previous experience with and good working knowledge of; Programmable Logic Controllers, HMI Software and the architecture of large electrical control systems.
