ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

UBC leverages our specialty pharmacy therapy expertise and contracts for specialty pharmacy and specialty distribution services.
The POD Technician is primarily responsible for handling inbound/outbound calls in a polite, friendly tone at an appropriate volume while maintaining accurate and complete documentation and systems records of all inquiries. This includes setting up delivery confirmation. The POD Technician is responsible for accurately entering program specific data entry documentation of correspondence and maintaining patient profiles in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Handle inbound/outbound patient, physician, and patient advocate calls in a polite, professional manner.
Accurately enter all program specific data entry documentation within program turnaround times into the software system.
Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all received correspondence.
Maintain accurate and complete documentation and system records of all inquiries in order to continuously improve the customer service process and reduce potential legal concerns.
Set up delivery confirmation and tracking packages shipped via client carrier.
Process order rejections and follow-up activities.
Maintain patient profiles in accordance with standing operating procedures.
Report product quality complaints or adverse events to a pharmacist.
Ensure all documentation is present so there is no interruption in patient therapy per program.
Report allergy or duplicate therapy warnings that appear during data entry to pharmacists.
High School degree or equivalent
0-1 years relevant work experience
Ability to obtain and retain Missouri Board of Pharmacy Technician License
Proficiency with personal computers; typing 90 keystrokes per minute
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Flexible schedule for peak call hours
Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment
Ability to learn quickly
Attention to detail required to maintain accurate information
Decision making ability
