Produces video from footage obtained from internal and external videographers consistent with the Harper College brand and in accordance with Harper College identity standards. Provides creative direction to videographers and other required vendors to ensure high quality product, within time and budget constraints. Creates animation and motion graphics for multimedia presentations. Develops graphic elements and information graphics for print, web and slide presentations. Assists the Creative Services Manager with design leadership. Researches and keeps current on all industry technology advancements. May also be responsible for special areas such as: Virtual Ticket, digital image library, Graphics file server, graphic standards manual, or other related areas.

Duties of Position

Edits video footage obtained from internal and external videographers. Syncs audio and video when necessary. Creates from concept through completion, Flash animation and motion graphics for video and web. Edits video and audio from footage obtained from internal and external videographers. Develops creative concepts and storyboards consistent with brand identity standards established by Marketing Department. Produces, from concept through completion, integrated marketing campaign elements and publications for print web video and slide presentation. Researches and recommends print and other quotes when needed. Researches and recommends print and production vendors. Interfaces with printers to request quotes and schedule. Collaborates with clients and members of the marketing team to deliver graphic services that meet time, cost, quality, and strategic parameters. Art directs video and photo shoots for assigned projects. Researches and recommends appropriate technological advancements in regard to the Graphic Design industry. Operates desktop publishing equipment and all current industry software as well as the College's job tracking and file transfer programs. Directs outside freelance work and agencies as needed. Responsible for output and quality standards of all digital files released for production. Responsible for tracking of jobs include meeting all internal and external project deadlines. Performs related duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree required in a Graphic Design course of study or equivalent.

Experience Requirements

Minimum of three-five years relevant work experience. Extensive experience in appropriate software and production capabilities. Must have a strong working knowledge and ability in the following graphic software programs: Adobe Creative Suite including Flash, HTML, XML, CSS, Final Cut Pro, Motion.
