Excela Health is now in agreement with William Penn Care Center located in Jeannette, PA to provide respiratory services, and is now seeking the following:

RESPIRATORY SUPERVISOR, Full Time (Req #13-0324)

The Respiratory Care Supervisor provides all modes of respiratory care and diagnostics, on physician order of via protocol, within the the long term care facility, and specialty departments as required. He/She acts on a broad knowledge base and experience in working with physicians and other healthcare providers. The Respiratory Care Supervisor directs day to day operations of the department. In addition, he/she acts as a resource person for other members of the department, participates in quality improvement activities, and committees as directed by the department manager/director. 3-5 years progressively more responsible experience in the field of respiratory care and ability to demonstrate knowledge in: Respiratory Care and Equipment, Department Operations, and Regulatory Agency Compliance. If position is for a long term care facility, three-five years of supervisory experience in the long term care facility.

RESPIRATORY THERAPIST, Full Time (Req #13-0336)

The Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) provides all modes of respiratory care and diagnostics, on physician order of via protocol, within the Critical Care, General Care Medical/Surgical units, and specialty departments as required. He/She acts on a broad knowledge base and experience in working with physicians and other healthcare providers. This is accomplished without direct supervision in most cases. The Registered Therapist may act as a resource person for other members of the department. If position is for a long term care facility, one-two years prior experience in a long term care facility.

RESPIRATORY THERAPIST, Part Time (Req #13-0337)

The Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) provides all modes of respiratory care and diagnostics, on physician order of via protocol, within the Critical Care, General Care Medical/Surgical units, and specialty departments as required. He/She acts on a broad knowledge base and experience in working with physicians and other healthcare providers. This is accomplished without direct supervision in most cases. The Registered Therapist may act as a resource person for other members of the department. If position is for a long term care facility, one-two years prior experience in a long term care facility.

RESPIRATORY THERAPIST, Casual (Req #13-0312)

The Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) provides all modes of respiratory care and diagnostics, on physician order or via protocol, within the Critical Care, General Care Medical/Surgical units, and specialty departments as required. He/She acts on a broad knowledge base and experience in working with physicians and other healthcare providers. This is accomplished without direct supervision in most cases. The Registered Therapist may act as a resource person for other members of the department. If position is for a long term care facility, one-two years prior experience in a long term care facility.

Requirements for all positions:
Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program. Current licensure to practice in the State of Pennsylvania. Current certification or registration by the NBRC. Current CPR (BLS). Graduate of JRCRTE approved respiratory care program with minimum of 3-6 months of clinical rotations. Medical Terminology. Basic math and keyboard proficiency. Functional skills on PC and related software. Knowledge of basic office equipment. Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to work independently and in a team setting; flexibility in scheduling. Ability to communicate with all members of the health care team. Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
