We are seeking a motivated, team-oriented,
for the Cedar Rapids West facility.

Operators in this position:
Operate equipment associated with the production process. This may include grain handling, processing and/or conveyance and packaging equipment.
Operate and monitor the process.
Ensure accurate information of operating logs, bills of lading, scale weights and transactions are recorded.
Assist with the collection and processing of samples.
Operate a forklift to move packaged products or equipment.
Enter confined spaces under proper permit conditions and supervision.
Understand and adhere to state and federal Occupational Safety and Health rules and regulations as related to plant safety. Follow all Cargill safety rules and regulations.
Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment utilized by facility; determine immediate and long-range needs for maintenance and repair work. Enter work orders utilizing maintenance computer program (MAXIMO).
Troubleshoot minor problems as required.
Maintain a safe and sanitary atmosphere with a high regard for food safety and environmental impacts.
Attend various mandatory safety and departmental meetings.
Communicate in a courteous and positive manner to accomplish duties effectively while working as a team with all involved.
Assist other personnel as needed, and will perform other duties essential to the department as requested by the production supervisor.
Persons in this position must have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must be willing and able to work a 7-day/12-hour shift schedule, overtime, weekends, holidays, nights, and additional hours beyond regularly scheduled shift to cover vacancies.
Must be able to work partially outdoors, indoors, and periodically in dusty environments.
Must be able to ascend and descend stairs, ladders, and work in elevated areas of the plant.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must have good time management skills.
Must be able to prioritize tasks and possess follow-up skills.
Must be willing to accept accountability.
Must be able to proficiently use computers including entering and retrieving data.
Must be able to learn computer software programs such as Adage, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and MAXIMO.
Must have a demonstrated high work performance, attendance and safety record.
Must have the ability to wear hearing and respiratory personal protection devices such as ear plugs, dust masks, and respirators.
Operators in this position will use multiple hand tools, process equipment, and industrial vehicles to assist with job duties
