This position works with the Senior Program Analyst to support CMC Leadership with data collection, data management, data analysis and reporting, and decision management tool design and development. This position takes a lead role in ensuring appropriate tools and repositories are available to support CMC report development including QI, Compliance and Operations reports, assuring data accuracy, and creating reporting efficiencies. The position is also responsible for interfacing with ASD to ensure utilization and effectiveness of ASD sponsored tools. In addition to possessing data reporting capability, this person offers basic programming and technical skills to support advanced data management and reporting requirements.
Works with Senior Program Analyst and appropriate CMC management personnel to assess, define, and develop CMC ad-hoc data reporting needs. Designs appropriate data repository and reporting tools that will be used to organize, analyze, and report data to support CMC reporting needs. Ensures tools are designed and organized for efficient retrieval of information. Queries tools to extract information needed to develop reports. Compiles data and other information from multiple sources used for CMC reporting purposes.
Supports the development of standard corporate and customer QI and Compliance reports. Interprets, analyzes, and makes recommendations regarding data accuracy and data collection needs and processes. Performs higher-level, more sophisticated analyses. Works with ASD to identify opportunities to enhance existing and develop new data information processes and tools to meet the CMC’s needs. Continuously assesses and improves the CMC’s data collection and reporting needs and processes. Develops and implements plans, as appropriate, to improve data collection and reporting processes. Shares learning with other CMC reporting departments. Provides input to ASD on strategies for improving their role in the standardization of such reports.
Coordinates or independently completes special projects. Assists Senior Report Analyst and other staff members with more complex and detailed projects.
Proactively seeks ways to enhance overall CMC ability to effectively utilize data.

Field of Study: High school plus additional coursework.
Experience: 3-5 years.
Job Specific: 3-5 years related experience (i.e. managed care, data reporting, etc.). BA in information systems, health, or business related field.
An equivalent combination of experience and education is acceptable.
Computer Skills: Required advanced expertise with Microsoft Excel and Access and other database management and reporting tools, ability to use reporting software such as Actuate or Crystal reports, and familiarity with and ability to use various other computer programs
