Kathleen Senior High - As the school leader, the Principal of this urban school will play a pivotal role in leading a high-performing community of teachers and support administrators while enhancing a participatory, student-centered and rigorously outcomes-driven culture. The culture at Kathleen High School is one that is committed to cultivating a legacy of lifelong learners by providing the knowledge and skills needed to be successful, productive citizens. The students, staff, parents, and community are working together as a family to install a sense of P.R.I.D.E. in who they are, where they are, and what they are to become. They stand for the following: P reparedness, R espect, I ntegrity, D ependability, and Engagement. Kathleen High has career academies that are small, personalized learning communities that select a subset of students and teachers.
Bartow Middle - Bartow Middle School sits in the seat of Polk County and services approximately 850 students from grade 6 through grade 8 from the surrounding area. This Title I school offers several specialized programs and pre-academy tracks. The successful candidate for this school must be able to document school leadership that has resulted in strong academic growth for all students with a focus on closing the achievement gaps of particular student groups as well as demonstrating exceptional communication skills.
Lawton Chiles Middle - Lawton Chiles Middle Academy is one of the district’s middle school magnet programs with a stellar reputation! A global perspective is a part of Lawton Chiles Middle Academy as the school has adopted the Middle Years Programme (MYP), a program for middle school students from the highly acclaimed International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). Additionally, LCMA is accredited by AdvancEd. This math, science, and technology magnet school is located in historic downtown Lakeland, Florida. High expectations for academics, behavior, and attendance are evident school-wide. All students wear uniforms, encouraging an academically focused environment. LCMA has been recognized by the Florida Department of Education as being in the top ten percent of middle schools in the State of Florida.
Wahneta Elementary - All candidates should possess experiences in improving student achievement, and can thrive in a fast paced change-oriented environment. Candidates must be able to demonstrate their ability to motivate others to reach their full potential through monitoring, modeling and providing effective feedback. The successful candidate must be able to effectively communicate and interact with people across various cultures and will be held accountable for overseeing the structural and fiscal operations of the school.
QUALIFICATIONS : Candidates must satisfy eligibility requirements, including background check as mandated by Florida State laws; possess a Master’s Degree from an accredited educational institution; hold or be eligible for certification as a School Principal or a certification in accordance with applicable statute and/or rule; have a minimum of 5 years effective teaching experience and a minimum of 3 years effective experience as an assistant principal or in an equivalent non-school-based administrative position with 5 years preferred. SALARY is negotiable within the position salary range as follows:
High - $86,771-$100,738; Middle - $81,771-100,774; Elementary - $79,271-100,653. Plus competitive benefits.
