The Quality / IC Data Coordinator is responsible for accumulating, compiling and maintaining quality, infection control and risk management data.
This includes gathering statistical data from various resources as it relates to quality of care, patient safety, risk management and medical staff as well as storing and retrieving such data.
This position is also responsible for assisting with preparation of various reports and studies for internal committee, reappointment file and corporate use.
The Quality / IC Data Coordinator is responsible for assisting with state, federal and Joint Commission standards relating to infection control.
Reports to the Chief Quality Officer.
The Quality / IC Data Coordinator is responsible for assisting for the planning, development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the hospital wide infection control program.
The Quality / IC Data Coordinator assists the Infection Control Preventionist with advising, implementing and evaluating measures necessary to prevent the spread of infections within the hospital and community.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Completes a basic infection control course within the first year of entering the position.
Experience: One year of previous data management and research experience preferred. Has knowledge and experience in areas of computer application skills including MS office, Excel, and Access; interpersonal skills and ability to deal with seasonal high volume and rigid deadlines; analytical ability to interpret data; and attention to detail.
