Support the Global Head BI as a core business competence for the local Oncology BU country organizations by contributing as a resource, expert contact and influencer to shape internal and external environments according to the Oncology Brand Max strategic approach.

Major Activities
  • Coordinate rollout of Brand Max strategy to address market conditions: loss of exclusivity, issues with substandard copies, competitive surveillance of companies producing of alternate versions of Novartis Oncology drugs

  • Build, facilitate and support high-functioning, country networks partnering with regional and key global representatives to drive local Brand Max plan implementation

  • Perform gap analyses and risk assessments with country and/or region to support Brand Max plans

  • Provide input to Oncology Brand Max to support consistent execution across the Oncology BU

  • Facilitate and support team best practice sharing

  • Develop and coordinate existing process to identify, collect, analyze and disseminate clinical and technical information regarding copies, anticipating competitive action where possible to maintain strong market standing

  • Optimize the use of Brand Max resources to achieve both high quality and high output impact on strategic objectives

  • Identify opportunities to build, communicate, advance and leverage stakeholder relations and corporate social responsibility to support Brand Max objectives

Key Performance Indicators (Indicate how performance for this job will be measured)

Near- to- Intermediate Term (1-2 years)
  • Work with regional/local teams to adapt specific and executable Brand Max plans and tactics working with key members of Oncology BU

  • Stakeholder & risk mapping of country environments to support Brand Max strategy

  • Create an external network of local experts in the relevant disciplines such as pharmacology, pharmaceutical development and medicine to support our strategies and influence external stakeholders

  • Create stakeholder networks in key markets in coordination with local BU leadership teams to support a strong environment favourable to innovative medicines

  • Established Communication and Public Affairs programs in partnership with Corporate/Oncology functions to educate external audiences on Brand Max topics

Minimum requirements
Education : Business, scientific and/or medical background necessary. Advanced degree (MBA, PhD, MD, JD) desirable.
Languages: Strong written and oral proficiency in English & Spanish (Portugese desirable)
Experience/Professional requirement: Pharmaceutical business, drug development and/or registration/regulatory processes/project management
Knowledge of IP rights and legislation
Strong skills and experience in building, leading, influencing and coordinating cross-functional dispersed teams
Able to recognize key levers and means to shape the environment in favour of business strategies
Strategic thinking linked to strong process implementation skills
Ability to contribute to business objectives with minimal supervision
Strong negotiation skills
Leadership, communication and consultative skills to define and drive execution according to agreed business plans
