The focus of this position is to provide non-MIS ownership of DDI’s marketing CRM application and client database. The Marketing Database Specialist will be responsible for the operation and support of DDI’s CRM system (Microsoft CRM). This associate will also be responsible for managing and maintaining our client database that provides DDI with customer, prospect and market data that supports the marketing and sales organizations.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day operation of the marketing CRM system
  • Maintain tutorials and training materials for associate use and conduct training where needed
  • Oversee all marketing system enhancements, customizations and interfaces
  • Work with MIS to define the requirements, scope, resources and timelines for any system enhancements, customizations and interfaces
  • Conduct process improvements related to associate use of the system in partnership with the sales system owner and MIS
  • Work with marketing, sales and other departments to define database uses and requirements to support appropriate business objectives
  • Streamline current data import and export functions to maximize data value and usage
  • Act as a company-wide database enterprise guardian to ensure accuracy of the data and optimal performance
  • Develop, document, and distribute standardized and/or customized reports and dashboards in support of CRM processes and analytics
  • Manage the incorporation of purchased company attributes into the database
  • Act as liaison with MIS on all issues related to system functionality, performance, stability and reporting outputs
  • Establish and monitors policies, procedures and controls for compliance with DDI and audit requirements
  • Serve as a Power User for DDI’s marketing automation system, Eloqua, and provide support for the marketing automation specialist as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Basic understanding of B2B marketing processes
  • 2 years of hands-on experience managing databases preferred
  • Training and direct experience in using database tools such as Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and SQL
  • Experience with Microsoft CRM or other CRM systems a plus
  • Knowledge of basic relational data structure, data extraction and analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must enjoy continuously increasing knowledge and skills, working in a participative, empowered environment, and meeting increasing work challenges
  • Excellent organizational skills; capacity to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously and communicate with all levels of management
  • Strong business, marketing and information systems acumen
  • Proficiency in Word, PPT, and SharePoint
