The Quality Management Consultant provides leadership and direction for system-wide strategic initiatives and other Quality Performance improvement work in assigned area of responsibility (Quality & Safety of Care including patient safety, accreditation readiness including JCAHO, CMS and WA DOH, clinical effectiveness & evidence-based practice). This position must maintain strong relationships with system-wide Administrators, Directors, Managers, and Physicians and is responsible for collaborating with internal and external leaders to provide overall strategy for assigned area of responsibilities. This position requires advanced QM expertise, analytical and evaluative skills, strong leadership skills, and the ability to lead and direct resources to support change through the implementation of improvement strategies. Contacts are with all levels of the organization (management and staff), external regulatory agencies (state, federal and independent) and Physician partners.
Recent administration and/or clinical management experience in an acute care setting. Proven success in organizational leadership and change required. Previous experience with computerized information systems (email, MS Office, hospital systems, etc) required.
Current WA state RN license. Bachelor’s degree in health care field or equivalent in education and experience required.
Master’s degree in health care field or equivalent in education and experience preferred.
This position will have a clinical standards focus.
