Performs skilled plumbing duties in the repair, maintenance, and installation of the secondary water distribution system. This work includes, but is not limited to, such tasks as; preventive maintenance to plumbing fixtures and installation of such items. Assist in such tasks as installation of ; water meters, shutoff valves, stop boxes, plastic and copper piping, backflow prevention, showers, bathtubs, faucets, hose bibs, drinking coolers, fire suppression, washing equipment, kitchen equipment, water heaters and a wide range of related tasks.
Performs skilled framing and finish carpentry in the remodeling, renovation, and new construction of building and structures. Scope of work determined through blueprints, drawings, field sketches, verbal instructions, and specifications. Prepare estimates from available information when responsible for ordering material. Inspects work site to determine special or unusual construction considerations. Carpentry techniques will follow accepted trade practices and standards.
Performs skilled electrical maintenance tasks in the repair of building electrical items as, but not limited to: changing out of various type light fixtures to include bulbs and ballasts, replacing light switches, replacing power outlets, repairing emergency signage, repairing kitchen appliances, and other small electrical repair and maintenance items. Follows directions and training procedures as taught by electricians to comply with in-house methods and procedures. Assist the Buildings and Grounds Electricians in larger projects in the role of an electrician's helper. Under the guidance of electricians, perform such work as, but not limited to: bend conduit, set conduit, pull wire, set electrical device boxes, install fixtures, and other tasks that assist the electricians. Use the hand and power tools normally associated with electrical work.
Performs equipment operations related to grounds maintenance, material handling, construction, mowing, snow removal, and training area enhancement projects. Perform all the variety of tasks involved in maintaining a large training facility and grounds, so as to provide maintenance, construction, and assembly support tasks that require power equipment and hand tools. Inspect job site, gather tools, equipment and material needed and arrive on the job in a timely manner. Display good judgment and initiative. Comply with work rules, policies and procedures.
Prepare and paint wood, metal, concrete, drywall and all other surfaces normally associated with a paint finish. Perform work at journeyman level. Prepare surface by best method to receive and hold paint for long term serviceability. Paint failure not contributed to poor surface preparation technique. Repair and fill holes, cracks, seams, joints, and etc. to preserve surface appearance and prevent weather infiltration. Apply paint by sprayer, brush, roller or other means best suited to application technique, material, time, surface and efficiency.
Perform concrete flatwork. This includes the tasks of: establishing grade, building forms, adding and compacting fill, placing concrete, screed, bull float, float and trowel finish, cutting expansion grooves, pulling forms, cleanup, and back place dirt against concrete. Concrete work includes, but is not limited to: sidewalks, driveways, slabs, stoops, steps, curbs, manholes, footings, drainage systems, and street repair. Use such power equipment as: soil packer, concrete saw, skid loader with attachments, vibrator/consolidator, and power screed.

Complete task according to time and results specified. Perform work in a professional manner. Report damaged or missing items as they are noticed. Obtain required operator's certification and drivers license to operate equipment and trucks as required by management. ts. Perform snow removal tasks using snowplow trucks, and other equipment to remove snow. Clear streets, parking lots, sidewalks, and etc. according to established procedures, priorities and other instructions pertinent at the time. Sand wear surfaces when necessary to provide safe traveled way. Remove snow without causing damage to equipment or items along the route.
This position will be required to pass an investigative background check as required by the Army for access to the military computer network system. This system uses computers to access building automated system computer.

Minimum Qualifications
Experience equal to three years of full-time work in two or more of the recognized building and mechanical trades (carpentry, electrical, heating and air conditioning, machinist, machine repair, masonry, painting, pipe fitting, plumbing, refrigeration and welding).

Additional Qualifications
This position's work hours are Tuesday through Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
