About the Position :
NoteWorld has an immediate opening for an experienced Litigation Paralegal at our corporate office, located in Tacoma, WA. This role will provide a wide range of support to our Legal and Compliance department, assisting with discovery and providing litigation support throughout all phases of the litigation process. This is the opportunity to put your Paralegal experience and background to work in a vibrant, growing Company.

Primary Responsibilities Include: Set up, organize and maintain litigation files. Provide litigation support during all phases of the litigation process, from the initiation of a case to the discovery period through trial and post-trial findings and appeals Coordinate discovery responses, including , redaction, duplication and indexing Help prepare and organize audit materials, licensing applications, and litigation materials Identify judicial decisions, statutes, legal articles, codes and other pertinent material relevant to issues affecting the company, the industries in which it serves or as otherwise directed Respond to consumer complaints, including research, negotiating resolution and coordinating any settlement Proactively seek out pertinent information, answers to questions, and feedback by consulting with Department members and other internal employees

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements: 5 to 7 years experience working as a litigation paralegal in a large law firm or in-house environment; 3 years of experience performing legal and factual research utilizing specialized software; Associates Degree or a paralegal certificate from an ABA approved school or an equivalent combination of education and experience; A bility to work well with supervising attorneys, customers, outside counsel, management and staff at all levels in an organization; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities; Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written); Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products to include: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and Outlook.
