The risk management coordinator; Analyzes and coordinates the Performance Improvement and Risk Management processes across the organization. Provides assistance to the Medical staff and all hospital departments in implementing and sustaining their performance improvement processes, and coordinates/evaluates potentially compensable events. Performs a variety of technical and specialized tasks involved with the current and retrospective evaluation of patient care. Serves as resource to the organization in design and development of systems to minimize organization risks and enhance performance to achieve defined outcomes. Serves as hospital resource and coordinator for regulatory standards, surveys, risk management issues and policy/procedure development and revision. The Risk Management Coordinator is responsible for analyzing and compiling data as it relates to organizational wide risk management priorities including but not limited to risk reduction programs, mandatory reporting, coordinating physician peer review activity with Medical Staff, and coordination of litigation activities.
      Qualifications

      Minimum Requirements :

      Education: Nursing degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

      Licensure/

      Certifications: Current Missouri RN license.

      Experience: 3-5 years experience in a hospital/other health care setting

      performing p erformance Improvement/Risk Management activities

      or in other leadership position.

      Experience with systems design and development.

      At least 5 years broad based clinical nursing experience. Familiar

      with standards of care for all age groups. Experience with systems

      design to meet regulatory standards
