Primary Function:
Responsible for development and servicing of consumer loan portfolios, with the goal of providing maximum profitability with minimum risk. Accountable for individual deposit development activities and strategies that promote core deposit growth by attracting new business and building multiple relationships with existing customers. May fund CD's and establishes rates within ranges. Will be backup for serving customers in the teller line.
Essential Functions:
1)Ensure applicable lending policies and procedures are followed. Responsible for adherence to applicable compliance regulations. Initial lending authority will be $5M (secured) and $1M (unsecured) loans. Increases to these limits will be at the discretion of management.
2)Develop and manage retail relationships and maximize long-term customer satisfaction through aggressive cross-selling efforts to satisfy customers' financial needs.
3)Monitor customers' repayment activity. Responsible for handling early detection and identification of past due accounts. Responsible for credit quality of individual portfolios.
4)Will participate in the sales process and activities of the Retail Department in a disciplined, consistent manner. These activities will include telemarketing, direct mail, cross-selling of bank products and services, referrals, and prospecting. Will meet or exceed weekly sales activity and volume.
5)Prepare annual personal business plan and strive to accomplish the goals and objectives.
6)Assist with loan process through closing by working within fairly standardized methods/processes and utilized standard rates as outlined by the bank.
7)Maintain knowledge of competitor products and services, including pricing of deposit and loan products, fees, and other charges in the market. May recommend changes to bank management with an objective of maintaining competitiveness and profitability for the bank.
8)Assist in bank-wide training efforts to enhance staff knowledge and continuously improve cross-selling and referral results.
9)Actively participate in community organizations and activities to project and sustain a favorable bank image in the community. Promote bank's products and services, make referrals and cross-sells.
10)Assist as assigned with Teller duties.
11)Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related area, or equivalent experience required. One year of consumer lending experience.
