Job Summary: Responsible for providing support to the North American Sales Teams by reducing the amount of non- sales activities that are required to get a prospect to an Iron Mountain customer. This role will be responsible for conducting internal and external research on customers/potential customers to ready the sales person for customer meetings. This role will also be responsible for tracking key SLA’s and ensuring a consistent timely experience for deals that are in the pipeline.
Key Responsibilities: What are the main responsibilities of the job. Indicate which are primary (essential to the job) and which are secondary (not essential to the job). % of Time Spent:
A. Interface and coordinate with internal business partners such as Legal, Price Desk, Proposal Services and Implementation to understand status and next steps on deals. Will be able to provide updates to relevant parties and set expectations for turnaround times. 50%
B. Respond to requests for research on potential customers/customers from Sales Reps. Requests will come in a standard format and the research will include utilizing both internal and external resources such as: SKP, BI, Hoovers, Linked In and BI. 40%
C. Reporting and tracking of metrics such as monitoring SLA’s, tracking progress, providing periodic status reports to relevant parties. 10%
Business Expertise: Should have strong customer service, administrative and organizational skills and experience. Needs to be able to understand sales processes and follow internal processes and SLA’
s. Must understand how to utilize internet tools in order research and provide information on customers and prospects.
Leadership: Not responsible for leading others or programs. Will coordinate and lead deals through our internal process and departments
Problem Solving: Will work within defined processes, procedures and SLA’s while providing support to the sales representatives. Will follow up and interface with internal departments requesting information and providing updates to sales team. Must be able to recognize and identify process breakdowns or situations that are not the norm and escalate those accordingly.
Nature of Impact: This role is designed to take the administrative/non sales activities that our Sales Teams.
Area of Impact: This role will sit in Sales Operations and will be aligned with a certain segment of the sales organization (Enterprise, Mid-Market). They will focus on coordinating and managing the deals for that sales team/organization through our internal departments and processes to closure.
Interpersonal Skills: Must have good interpersonal skills. Will be working with a wide variety of internal departments to track and drive deal progress.
Job / Physical Requirements/Qualifications:
Minimum Education: High School Minimum Experience: Less than 2 years
Preferred Education: 2 Yrs College Preferred Experience: 2 – 4 Years
