Hadoop System Administrator
Lead the configuration and administration activities of a multi-node (100 to 500) Hadoop File System Structure (HDFS) clusters. Configuration and administration of cluster component parameters like CPU, I/O load, memory usage, and network topology/bandwidth for identified workloads. Create and Test various scenarios for optimized cluster performance and reporting. Identify, assess, and recommend appropriate solutions to advise customer on cluster requirements and any limitations by applying industry best-practices and expertise regarding emerging technologies, risk mitigation, and continuity planning to address back-up and recovery.
· Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
· Linux Systems Administrator (5 years+ with recent experience)
· Hadoop (HDFS) (at least one year recent experience)
· Distributed scale out architectures (over 100 production servers)
· Puppet and/or Chef
· Fault tolerant systems administration
· Automated monitoring (Nagios and/or Zenoss)
· Automated and/or manual patch management
· Installation and monitoring of application servers
· CF Engine
· Automated deployment
· Building and maintaining high performance clusters
