Job Details:
The individual selected by the Company shall be very well versed and acquainted with the Operational and Commissioning knowledge levels to place into reliable automatic operation one Westinghouse fuel oil fired CTG and equipment. The individual shall have the following experience:

Manage, schedule, coordinate all commissioning activities for the project;

Communicate and update the status of the facility being commissioned to the site Project Manager or Construction Manager;

Utilize operational expertise to foresee and provide corrective actions to unseen and seen project issues that would affect safety, schedule, budget and unit reliability;

Ability to staff the project with the skill sets need to ensure project success;

Ability to work as a team member, communicate as a team player and promote a real team work ethic to ensure project success;

Participate in required daily/weekly Construction and Commissioning meetings;

Knowledgeable in all Operational and Commissioning aspects of Mechanical equipment (Rotating equipment, pumps, valves, etc.);

Ability to ensure that all required documentation is utilized, completed as required and placed into the Company file system;

Ability to review, interpret Contractor turn over books for acceptance. Prepare Company start-up turnover packages and specific testing procedures;

Provide technical guidance to contractors, plant and company staff for start-up testing and documentation.

Ability to review, assess and bring to closure outstanding or open punch list items;

Shall be in good health and able to access locations/areas on or around the turbine/generator equipment.

Accessing all areas that will require using stairs and ladders, working in hot/humid/dusty power plant conditions, etc.

Ensuring that proper PPE is utilized, depending on the hazards to include confined space entries;

Intermediate experience in the Operational and Commissioning aspects of Electrical, Back-up power and DCS systems;

Advanced knowledge in Lock Out/Tag Out of systems and components being commissioned;

Advanced knowledge in over-all CT Unit operation;

Advanced knowledge Operational knowledge to be able to operate and monitor the control room console and other equipment as required;

Advanced operational and commissioning knowledge in over-all unit system testing- CTG, Diesel engines and etc;

Advanced Mechanical and Intermediated Electrical commissioning and testing;

Intermediate mechanical system troubleshooting and corrective actions skills;

Intermediate knowledge levels for M&TE needed for commissioning of the facility;

Advanced knowledge level to evaluate, facilitate and approve Mechanical, Provisional and Final completion or acceptance of the entire facility.

Minimum 10 years turnkey power plant commissioning experience with an emphasis on Gas Turbine technologies;

Minimum 5-10 years over-all facility Operational experience;

Minimum of 5 years as a CTG unit operator;

Direct knowledge of heavy frame Westinghouse or GE fuel oil fired Combustion turbine systems;


Construction / project management experience


Experience working on large projects;


Working Experience in Power Generation preferred

This position will be located in the South West.
