The Sr. HR Technology Analyst will report to Sr. Manager HRIS, and provide technical expertise in the field of next generation HR tools. The Sr. Analyst will create innovative HR systems and lead small to large scale HR projects involving new functionality, process improvement and related integration. This role will work closely with The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) HR Business Intelligence (BI) team as a change partner and represent the ESPN segment.

Other functionality includes maintaining a broad understanding of the HRIS environment, advising clients on system capabilities, and proactively identifying and recommending areas for process improvement.

The goal of HRIS at ESPN is to provide easy to use and accurate information to drive smart decisions in support of short and long-term organizational goals. This role will work closely with the HR Business Analytics team in providing information in a timely manner.

Responsibilities
•Champions and serves as technical expert for HR Information Systems, helping drive long term strategic direction, design requirements, features, functionality and necessary enhancements.
•Acts as a HRIS technology specialist and reviews processes to assess efficiency and recommend automation.
•Serves as the Business Partner between HR and IT to identify trends, opportunities, and present data-driven insights to the business.
•Partners with HR Centers of Excellence on multiple projects and provides recommendation for systems and technology.
•Works closely with HR Research Analyst in the design of HR dashboard (e.g. Diversity, Learning, Compensation etc.) and helps the analytics team in data calibration and consolidation.
•Recommends new HR tools (mobile apps, web-based reporting etc.), develops final pricing and works with vendors.
•Partners with TWDC BI team and represents ESPN segment for all BI related projects. Assists in the communication, training and implementation of new systems and system upgrades as per the TWDC plan. Participates in monthly calls with the TWDC team.
•Develops business needs analysis to provide justification for changes and communicates efficiently the business requirements to the TWDC technical team.
Basic Qualifications
•Experience with Cognos BI preferred.
•Functional experience with databases, SQL scripting, or other programming experience.
•Experience with HR dashboards preferred.
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills and a high degree of initiative and creativity required.
•Possesses strong team and client focus and must demonstrate leadership skills to effectively manage projects and client relationships.
•Strong project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
•Strong MS Excel skills a plus.
Required Education
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, HRIS, Information systems, or related specialty or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of applicable experience.
