The Environmental Technologies group is seeking an intern to assist with investigations into environmentally sensitive materials, such as materials containing recycled content, renewable bio-based content, higher recyclability, and other attributes that reduce environmental impact. The intern will support research into new materials with Apple’s materials teams, drive material trials with suppliers and qualification testing with cross-functional teams., The intern will also support work on material guidelines for these new categories of materials.
Materials or polymer engineering background; final year of undergraduate studies or masters student
Effective program management abilities, particularly across cross-functional teams, is desired
Strong interest in bio-based polymers and sustainable materials is desired
Specialization in polymers is a plus
Familiarity with Life Cycle Assessment and toxicological assessments are a plus
