Provide complex design support of vehicle electrical components and systems using standard engineering principles and drafting/layout techniques.
Design and detail vehicle electrical components and systems.
Design and detail production layouts and components using CAD, CATIA or other design system tools.
Participate in developing and maintaining engineering data, design charts, bills of material and records for production.
Provide information for selecting proper materials, tolerances, finishes, production methods, and procedures.
Provide assistance and support in special projects, etc.
Improve competitive market position by keeping abreast of state of the art developments in the truck industry and applying the new product knowledge to designs.
Bachelors degree and 1 year of experience;
OR, an Associates degree and 2 years of experience;
OR, 6 years of related Daimler experience is required.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering OR an Associates Degree with two additional years of directly applicable experience AND two years of electrical product engineering design experience is preferred.
Final candidate must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
