Responsible for the implementation, direction, and oversight of the Department's project control system (Primavera). Serve as a project manager to assist in the timely and efficient delivery of the statewide highway construction program.

Serve as the first line supervisor, train, plan, direct the work of, and evaluate subordinate's performance. Make hiring and personnel related decisions.

Monitor, review, analyze, and forecast project schedules based on the department policies and the design flowchart to ensure task completion dates are met in a dynamic project delivery environment.

Serve as a liaison between the various headquarters programs and district offices to facilitate the communication of project schedules, status, and needs across the agency.

Develop and generate standard, ad hoc, and custom reports based on database queries that summarize information to be presented to decision makers.

Train and provide technical assistance to users in the resolution of problems and the interaction with the PCS program.

Perform complex data analysis to identify and research historical data associated with project schedules, activity durations, and resource efforts to establish baseline project schedules.

Knowledge of: the Department’s processes, policies, and procedures relating to plan development and delivery; preliminary engineering design activities and their predecessor and successor activities; principles of project scheduling and project management; engineering principles and practices.

Skilled in: written and oral communications; interpersonal relationships; organizational and time management; the use of project scheduling software (Primavera); office automation software (Microsoft word and excel); document management systems (Falcon); database principles and report writing tools (SQL, Infomaker and Crystal Reports).

Ability to: work and make decisions independently; maintain and manage multiple priorities; collaborate with program managers, district engineers and information technology experts; identify critical path activities and facilitate the resolution of challenges in project delivery; apply new technologies.

Preference will be giving to those with a Associates Degree in Engineering, Business Administration with 6 – 8 years of experience.
