Cargill Texturizing Solutions is a leading supplier of gelling and thickening agents as well as emulsifiers, focusing on supplying the global food and beverage industries. Cargill Texturizing Solutions offers specific solutions for improving stability, texture, consistency and shelf life in multiple food applications, based on a wide palette of ingredients including hydrocolloids, emulsifiers, lecithins, cultures, starches and soy flours.

Cargill Texturizing Solutions' presence on five continents includes affiliates, sales offices, technical laboratories and Applications Service Centers that ensure proximity to its customers.

Position Overview:
The Hammond Facility Manager, located just outside of Chicago, provides the strategic leadership to create a safe, results oriented culture of accountability where employees are actively engaged in the success of the business.

As a member of the regional extended leadership and starch product line leadership teams, the Facility Manager oversees all functions and results at the Hammond manufacturing location, including Environmental Health & Safety, Food Safety, Operations, HR, Quality Assurance, Customer Satisfaction, Engineering, Distribution, Merchandising, and Finance. The Hammond Facility Manager is responsible for the location’s implementation of corporate and BU strategy; strategy development for the improvement of the facility's competitive position; compliance with Cargill, federal, state, and local regulations; internal controls; consistent implementation of corporate/local policies and procedures; coordination of functional initiatives; community and local customer/supplier relationships.

Principal Accountabilities:

Strategic Leadership:
Align corporate, functional, and BU strategies to develop and deploy a common vision that drives strong cross-functional collaboration, business and community partnerships both internally and externally, and commitment to achieve business results; local risk management.

Operational Excellence:
Manage site operations, including safe manufacturing of quality products to serve our customers; leadership to drive identification, implementation and adoption of initiatives and innovation that generate efficiencies, cost savings, and competitive positioning.

Talent Leader:
In collaboration with Operations HR and in alignment with the regional business strategy, manage and develop current talent, acquire and build an engaged talent pipeline

equipped with the capabilities necessary to meet future business demands. Develop a strong culture of accountability where employees are committed and motivated to contribute their ideas and efforts.

Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with Cargill, federal, state and local regulations.

Ensure all employees are trained in safety and food safety programs, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

Required:
4 year college degree in Engineering or Science

8+ years experience with plant processes, operations and management

Demonstrated experience leading and influencing change in a complex and dynamic environment; developing a strong culture of accountability and engagement

Demonstrated ability to assess and develop talent

Proven conflict resolution skills

Demonstrated strong collaboration and business partnering ability

Strong connections and knowledge of multiple functional areas, including EHS, Food Safety, Maintenance & Reliability, Procurement,

Finance, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Quality Assurance, Human Resources, and Sales

Significant experience or exposure to multiple manufacturing locations as well as in multiple functions and/or processing departments

Ability and willingness to travel, both domestic and international, up to 20%
