Under the direction of the Registration Department leadership, the Patient Registration Interviewer is responsible to facilitate the patient registration flow, including such activities as point of service patient identification; gathering demographic information; securing financial, third-party, and sponsorship data; obtaining required signatures and documents needed for compliance and appropriately collecting co-payment and reconciling cash. The Patient Registration Interviewer may also be responsible for pre-registration, benefit verification and pre-admission, ED patient arrival, death processing, and tele-communication services. Position requires a high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers and others.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- One year face to face customer service experience in a professional business office setting.
- Current computer skills, including website/online navigation.
- All experience required within prior five years.
