We are seeking a Process Development Engineer to apply creativity and ingenuity to contribute significantly toward innovating breakthrough processes and equipment technologies leading to new product platforms. You will apply your broad knowledge of principles and specialization practices to complete difficult to complex polymer film manufacturing process development, process optimization and equipment upgrade assignments.
You will have the opportunity to work both as a team member or a team leader on assigned projects for creation, development, and optimization of manufacturing equipment & processes. You will use your statistical and advanced quality methods and fundamental principle modeling techniques to predict manufacturing process performance while in development phase. You will work with our manufacturing plants to improve production performance and assists product developers in transitioning products through pilot operations into global manufacturing.
This highly qualified candidate will possess a B.S. degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with five years’ experience in process engineering and/or equipment design. Minimum five years’ in process engineering and/or equipment design in Polymeric web-based extrusion industry. Experienced in using CAD software to read, create and modify engineering drawings. Knowledge to create Design of experiments and analysis of optimized solutions and use of Six Sigma methodology in design and optimization
Minimum two years’ experience in “area of expertise” associated specifically in polymeric web-based industry. Areas of Expertise: Process development, Product Development, Process engineering, Equipment Design, Extrusion, Web Handling, Forming Technologies.
Travel will be a benefit of this position and you may travel from 20% up to 40% on an annual basis. Travel may be domestic or international.
