We are looking to expand our technology team by bringing on board our next Development Manager. This role is not a coding role and will be heavy in strategy and direction. However, it is critical that the right candidate have a coding background and has been part of a high-traffic consumer facing product or web property.

Responsibilities include:
Oversee a moderate sized team to lead them to successful software delivery
Understand our needs, risks and making appropriate technology decisions
Build web-based ecommerce applications to be integrated with and enhance our current platform
Work with several large and complex SQL Databases
Develop software algorithms to streamline back end business workflow
Produce robust, elegant and scalable software that performs well under high load
Be creative and resourceful to solve complex business challenges
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering from a 4-year college or university
Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability as a software developer in at least one programming language
Experience coding Internet applications that interact heavily with a database
Strong ability with SQL, databases and writing high-performance queries and stored procedures
Comfortable with writing effective web GUI relying on minimal client-side technology
A high degree of technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with TCP/IP and Ethernet networks a plus
Experience authoring client-side tools with JavaScript/AJAX a plus Other traits we look for:
