Essential
Responsibilities and Duties
·
Have the ability to take
full ownership of assigned infrastructure projects, make technical and
financial proposals, execute and coordinate their outcome as well as coordinate
other projects and assignments given by others.
·
Own the design,
construction, installation, and implementation processes for new data center
infrastructure gear. Own infrastructure maintenance programs and cause and
effect charts or documents which define roles and responsibilities for
facility, security, and data center operations.
·
Interface with multiple
internal and external organizations regarding new infrastructure projects,
drive infrastructure performance and
on-going maintenance requirements.
·
Have the ability to
proactively address infrastructure operational issues which may impact the data
center’s ability to meet customer timelines and service level agreements.
·
Effectively communicate with
various organizational groups; have the ability to work independently and in a
multi-team environment where either leadership or support roles are required.
·
Ensure all infrastructure
issues follow an established problem
solution path within the company and external vendors and suppliers.
Qualifications and Skills
·
Minimum
of BS degree as electrical, mechanical engineer with five to ten years related data center project engineering
and experience in data centers.
·
Experience
with design, engineering, construction and on-going maintenance of high
performance data centers and their critical infrastructure equipment.
