This 24/7 high-availability system is implemented in Java to handle a very large volume of transactions. It runs on a suite of Ubuntu UNIX servers. You will extend and enhance this system by adding significant productivity enhancements, advanced load balancing capabilities, and ultimately take it to the Cloud. This is a full-time career position for a responsible, customer-focused software engineer.
Desired Skills & Experience
A Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent real-world development experience is required plus two years of professional Java programming experience and one or more years of experience developing Java applications on UNIX systems. Experience working with Ubuntu, databases, and preparing performance optimized SQL statements is a strong plus. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals with a strong desire to learn new skills. If you are a self-starter and a diligent, conscientious professional then you will excel in this position.
