The Security Analyst position works in a 24x7 Security Operations Center and is responsible for monitoring client network systems activity to ensure the safe and secure operation of the network
Responsibility #1 -
The position is responsible for monitoring security tools, which include but are not limited to Cisco Intrusion Preventions Systems, Cisco Security Agents and Management Center, Host Monitor Secure Vue, and Website Watcher.
Responsibility #2 -
Security Tool Installation
This position is responsible for installations of security tools on customer networks in an accurate and timely manner.
Responsibility #3 -
This position is responsible for utilizing the MSSP knowledge base to perform standard corrective actions on security tools, daily tasks, and processes. This includes opening tickets and escalating security incidents to the Security Engineer, management and customers.
Responsibility #4 -

The position will be responsible for ensuring all company and customer information is protected and kept in a confidential manner. This includes consistently adhering to all company procedures and best practices regarding confidential and proprietary information.

Education & Related Experience:
2-4 years network security experience in dynamic and proactive LAN/WAN environments.
BS degree in CIS or related field/or equivalent related work experience.
3+ years supporting service oriented LAN/WAN environments.
Knowledge in managing security devices, i.e., Cisco Security Manager, Ciscoworks VPN/Security Management System, leading industry firewalls and many others.
An understanding of IP, routing, switching and various network based protocols.
An understanding of security best practices with relation to applications, network and client setups.
Knowledge of Network Intrusion Prevention & Host Intrusion Prevention based applications/devices.
Knowledge of Firewalls.
Knowledge of Vulnerability assessments and how to interpret them for non-technical people.
Ability to use security assessment tools.
Knowledge of Windows based operating systems, Windows Server 200x.
Takes accountability and ownership.
Possesses strong willingness and drive to succeed.
Outstanding customer service skills.
Demonstrates a can-do and positive attitude.
Ability and desire to establish rapport with team members and customers.
Experience multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
