BS/MS degree in biochemistry, cell biology or related field with a minimum of 1-3 years of practical laboratory experience is required. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to understand, apply, and evaluate cell biology, virology, and mathematical principles. Knowledge of secondary tissue culture (cell culture), and molecular techniques is preferred. Successful candidates will possess strong technical writing and presentation skills, knowledge of GxPs and safety guidelines. Candidate should be detail oriented and able to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
The Seattle Cellular Resources department is seeking an Associate to join our Biosafety Development group. Primary focus will be on cell culture maintenance and cell-based virus titration assays. General cellular and molecular technical skills are required including cell culture, in vitro viral detection assays, and PCR. Previous training in a cGxP laboratory environment, method qualification and/or validation preferred. Successful candidates will have the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment and should display excellent organizational and communication skills.
