Works with the Lead CPM to represent Janus Fixed Income to all clients, both internal and external. Acts as a surrogate for portfolio managers to institutional and/or intermediary clients. Explains the investment philosophy, process and performance of the Fixed Income franchise. Provides updates on overall financial market performance, economic trends and the Fixed Income teams’ economic outlook. Participates in investment discussions with portfolio managers and analysts. May develop presentations and research briefs on economic trends, investment themes and topical investment issues. May partner with product management and product marketing on sales ideas and product collateral.
Represents Janus Fixed Income investment philosophy, process, performance/attribution and portfolio positioning to internal and external clients.
Participates in regular investment discussions with portfolio managers and analysts
Advocates for the Portfolio Managers both within the organization and with external client base.
Acts as a product expert to intermediary and/or institutional clients in order to create sales opportunities.
Support new business and asset retention efforts with key accounts (e.g., finals presentations, consultant and/or gatekeeper meetings).
Partners with product management to provide sales teams with ongoing updates about the investment philosophy, process, and performance of specific products.
Partners with product management to perform appropriate analysis to fully understand the competitive environment and provide recommendations on product fees, minimums and competitive positioning.
Keeps sales and consultant relations team informed of product-related industry trends, e.g., flows, AUM, and performance trends, search activity.
Interprete fixed income data and attribution analysis. Work with financial writers to edit investment commentaries.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Strong knowledge of Fixed Income investment management, credit emphasis a plus but not required.
Experience in global fixed income markets a plus but not required
Strong knowledge of investment products and competitors
Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment
Ability to set goals, work independently and drive results
Ability to assimilate complex and varied market data
Excellent communication, client relationship management and sales/marketing skills
Experience with presentation development and delivery
Ability to drive ideas from concept to completion through efficient project management and execution

Data interpretation from institutional sources including : Bloomberg, FactSet, Wilshire, Zephyr, Investor Force-PSN, Callan PEP software, etc.
5 plus years of Fixed Income investment experience as a client portfolio manager, research analyst, portfolio manager, strategist, or equivalent.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS:
B.S. or B.A. required; major in finance, business, economics or equivalent work experience required.
Series 7 required within 6 months of hire
Advanced degree or CFA Charter Holder preferred
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Overtime may be required on short notice and may include evening, weekend, holiday hours
Travel will be required – 50%-60% of the time
