The Post Anesthesia Recovery RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility for providing patient focused health care for patient’s recovery from anesthesia. The PACU nurse will utilize the nursing process, communication skills, and problem solving techniques to deliver quality care. The PACU nurse will also be responsible for the knowledge and technical skill needed to operate a variety of mechanical devices to accomplish this task. The staff nurse is accountable for the age groups as defined in the scope of care.
- Current State Illinois Registered Nurse license.
- One year experience in critical care (PACU, ICU or ER).
- CPR card required
- ACLS card required
- CPAN/CAPA card preferred.
