Under limited supervision, conceptualizes, plans, coordinates, and prepares the design, layout, publication, printing and distribution of department or University catalogs, flyers, brochures, newspapers and other informational/promotional materials. Researches and compiles information. May write and edit copy. Proofs copy and approves photography, illustrations and graphics; obtains client and printer concurrence. Assists with the planning, development and implementation of marketing strategies. Establishes and ensures compliance with production/project schedules and responsibilities. Assists in selection, utilization and monitoring performance of external vendors. May design and/or enhance master information files and databases. Serves as Assistant Editor for UAB Reporter. Plays a primary role in creating, updating and maintaining UAB Reporter Web site. Has production management responsibilities for other print and electronic marketing communications. Performs a variety of administrative functions in support of department operations, assists with preparation of annual report and special projects; helps to ensure that publication(s), i.e., photography, printing, etc., stays within budget. Serves as department contact person.

(Annual Salary Range: $33,351 - $42,952 - $52,353) Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Communications or a related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement. Licensure / Certifications None required.
