The Visual Inspection Section Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of the visual inspection training/qualification and defect kit maintenance program at the site. This position will ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory guidelines and goals in support of the overall visual inspection initiative. Routine communication/collaboration with other Hospira locations to ensure aligned understanding and implementation of corporate procedures.
Must utilize knowledge of pharmaceutical visual inspection processes to provide insight on new visual inspection requirements.
Must provide evaluations, data, and reports to management as requested.

Bachelor of Science degree or related science plus at least 3 - 5 years experience in Visual Inspection. Some history of interaction with regulatory agencies is preferred. Requires good written and verbal communication skills. Requires tactful, persuasive and assertive human relations skills. Requires effective leadership skills. Requires comprehensive knowledge of GMPs, applicable SOPs and production processes, and inspection practices. Requires strong ability to multi task and project manage to an established timeline.
