As a chemical engineer, you will be responsible for conducting heat and mass transfer, reaction kinetics, and thermodynamic calculations to design new processes, which will advance CoolPlanet's low carbon fuel technology. Knowledge of process design technology, environmental assessments, biomass and petroleum processing is strongly desired. Ideal candidates must have a graduate degree in chemical engineering and five years of experience in their field. Preference will be given to those with a Ph.D.
Responsibilities:
Design of biomass conversion processes with Aspen Plus
Scale-up of chemical processes
Construct P&ID's and PFD's
Construct mass and energy balances for CoolPlanet's proprietary technology
Conduct HAZOP studies
Experience/Education:
MS/Ph.D. in Chemical engineering
Five years industrial/research experience
Mass/energy balances for bench and pilot-scale facilities
Understanding of thermochemical processes
Understanding of chemical process simulation software (i.e. Aspen Plus)
Petroleum fuels experience a plus
Experience reading and constructing P&ID's
