Reporting to the SVP and Chief Lending Officer, the Indirect Lending Program Manager is responsible for building a profitable indirect lending program for Firstmark Credit Union. This will be accomplished through promotion of the Firstmark Credit Union program to identified dealerships that are managed effectively through ongoing relationship development and monitoring of performance. Will provide ongoing reporting on all facets of indirect performance to Executive Management and to the Board of Directors.


Monday – Friday and as needed on evenings and weekends. Schedules ongoing visits to established dealerships to build relationships.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Key Accountabilities:

  • Builds Dealer relationships through ongoing contact, in person and by telephone, on a regular basis to cultivate quality business partnerships.
  • Acts as liaison between dealer representatives and credit union staff.
  • Works with the Credit Union indirect loan processing department on process improvements/efficiencies
  • Acts as the organizational expert on indirect associated systems (i.e. CUDL)
  • Insures that dealerships are provided current rate and fee information and that they have on hand adequate supplies of forms required by the credit union to process members’ loans.
  • Monitors and reports on trends in automobile sales and lending, for the purpose of advising management of changes that may need to be made to our program in order to remain competitive and profitable.
  • Reports monthly to Executive Management and the Board the appropriate monthly loan reports for the credit union and the respective automobile dealerships.
  • All members of the Firstmark Credit Union Management Team are expected to:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • A strong knowledge of automobile financing, underwriting and monitoring of dealer and buyer performance is needed, as well as a thorough knowledge of the local dealer market and Firstmark lending policies.
  • Strong knowledge of indirect auto lending and underwriting
  • Knowledge of automobile dealership operations/functions
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Maintains a professional appearance in accordance with established dress code policy.
  • Technological skills and knowledge, including computer literacy.
