This position provides technical support to the process of data management to an area or department. Under minimum supervision, this level employee performs assignments that are varied and moderately complex. The employee exercises judgment in tasks, referring unusual cases to supervisor. Requires extensive knowledge of company/department procedures related to work performed. He/She typically performs one or more of the following: creating new queries and analysis tools and developing databases as needed. The Data Analyst makes decisions or recommendations relative to workflow processes, account information, or other activities. He/She analyzes performance information or trends using more moderately complex data, identifies problems and makes recommendations on solutions. This position may have access to confidential data such as patient financial information, employee pay, etc. Minimum Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
Associate's Degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school; or four years experience as a Data Analyst or similar position; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in database manipulation and spreadsheet applications. Ability to define and identify solutions to solving complex problems. Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. May also require knowledge of statistical procedures. Demonstrated ability to use office related software products such as MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.), Lotus Notes. May require area or department-specific mainframe or software knowledge such as HBOC, PeopleSoft, etc. Demonstrated organization skills with the ability to prioritize and deal with change. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Kind & Length of Experience
2-3 yrs as Data Analyst or similar position. Previous experience in area or department or knowledge from experience in similar area or department in another organization. Additional Job Information
Full time, day shift, Monday - Friday. Supports inpatient pharmacies across OhioHealth with data management and reporting activities. Previous experience as a pharmacy technician and/or with Crystal report writing software, and Microsoft Access desired. Scheduled Hours Per Week
