The Wellness Coordinator works with clients and the sales and marketing team to proactively coordinate the health and wellbeing of members. Responsibilities include performing client assessments, making recommendations on approaches, measuring impact of wellness program initiatives, and participating in client and prospect meetings.
This position requires travel in designated geographic markets.
Provides consultative services to clients including wellness program design and recommendations for program incentives and/or penalties and plan design
Provides leadership for a comprehensive wellness program
Develops and monitors employee wellness programs
Ensure collaboration and coordination with internal medical management team
Measures the effectiveness of employee wellness programs
Participate in the analysis of health/wellness data using the results of the analysis to recommend interventions that will help a client improve the health of their employee population
Establishes relationships and serves as a liaison to professional organizations and vendors providing wellness benefits and programs for AHA Develops promotion and communication plans for wellness programs
Create and deliver presentations on a variety of health and wellness topics
Assists with the development of procedures relevant to the operation and client satisfaction of the wellness program
At least 5 (five) yrs experience creating and administering health/wellness programs
Bachelors degree in health sciences, health education or related field preferred
Knowledge of wellness and disease management program outcomes, insurance market and employer plan designs.
Demonstrated ability to make professional presentations on health/wellness issues to diverse populations.
Includes presenting to large and small groups.
Passion for promoting healthy lifestyles
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees; strong organizational skills
Excellent knowledge of PC applications such as MS Word, Excel, e-mail, internet
Ability to self-start and work independently with little supervision
