Candidates applying for the IT Business Intelligence Report Analyst/ Developer position will be responsible for becoming the subject matter expert for reporting and work as the liaison between business partners/ business analysts and the business intelligence/ data warehouse teams. The role is hands-on as in requiring the Report Analyst/Developer to develop reports and dashboards that suit business requirements using the MicroSoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) toolset. The person that fills this position will be proficient at understanding process flow, developing analytical and operational reporting solutions and assisting the end user in designing process and analytical solutions. Listed below are duties, responsibilities, education, and other skills needed to be seriously considered for this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Gather and document reporting requirements from business owners, business analysts and articulate business needs into business system design.
Develop Reporting solutions via different sources including CRM, Data Warehouse, Operational Data Store etc utilizing SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) toolset. Solutions could be in the form of Reports and Dashboards.
Translate business needs into analytics/reporting requirements, as assigned.
Analyze reports/ anaytics functions and features.
Collaborate with team members to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and delivery.
Resolve system problems to ensure customer processes run smoothly.
Map system functions and data elements from an existing system to a new system.
Conduct gap analyses as well as assess re-engineering business process opportunities.
Create business test scripts and test cases as well as performs business testing.
Develop and maintain lifecycle documents.
Support QA of Analytical solutions such as SSAS cubes
Track and resolve requirements and usability issues.
Work with Project Managers to develop project schedules for related projects.
Maintain ultimate responsibility for ensuring that reports and analyticals solutions are compliant with technical specifications.
Maintain product consistency throughout product cycle, to include the design, define and build stages.
Responsible and accountable for flagging the timing of interdepartmental deliverables and the quality of their output.
Respond to design issues with related groups such as Development, Database, Data Integration, and Customer Support.
Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of software development projects.
Able to multi-task across a number of concurrent projects successfully.
Able to work in both Waterfall and Agile BI environments as the need may be for a particular requirement

4 year University degree required.
Minimum of 5 years of software business analysis and report development experience in a business intelligence environment required.
Some transactional system analysis a plus.
Strong analytical skills and experience with performing business analytical tasks with complex systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services is required
Experience working with CRM systems, MS Dynamics strongly desired
Familiarity with Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing concepts required
Familiarity with other MicroSoft BI Suite of products desired
Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication skills a must.
Must have a desire to achieve excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability.
Understanding of software development life cycles (waterfall, iterative, agile)
Knowledge of software quality assurance processes.
Must have experience in working with cross functional teams.
Knowledge of internet and e-business processes, disciplines and standards.
Must be extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication.
Solid understanding and working knowledge of Internet technologies and web-based software development.
Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing to business partners.
Works independently with limited supervision, coordinating projects to closure.
