Responsible for laundry maintenance and customer service. Duties include: counting and returning change to customers; cleaning all areas of the Laundromat including play room and video games; cleaning lint filters; balancing laundry machines and laundry tickets; emptying trash cans and cleaning ashtrays; addressing customer complaints; basic repair of laundry equipment; handling drop laundry; and answering and screening telephone calls.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Remember regular customers names and faces.
  • Wearing the uniform and keeping your appearance neat and clean.
  • Accurate and effective completion of shift paper work and other reports.
  • Count and return change to customers accurately.
  • Suggest selling and helping customers with machine operations.
  • Clean rest rooms, laundry equipment, dusting, windows, floors, play room, video games, and messes of others.
  • Use of fire extinguishers and other safety equipment.
  • Cleaning of lint filters on dryers.
  • Balance laundry machine and laundry tickets.
  • Empty trash cans and clean out ashtrays.
  • Listening and handling customers complaints.
  • Maintain safety manual(s), and store rest room logs.
  • Store Safety.
  • Answer and screen telephone calls.
  • Basic repair and maintenance of laundry equipment.
  • Effective handling of drop laundry.
  • Must have ability to work with customers and co-workers
  • Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, and nights.

  • Qualifications:

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent work experience in the area of laundry service

    • Ability to lift 30 lb. regularly and 50 lb. occasionally.
    • Ability to climb, stoop, bend, lift, carry, etc.
    • Ability to work in atmosphere which is demanding, hot, and physical.
