Researches, collects and reports information on the ability and capability of company products and competing products. Aids in the design and development of systems to fulfill the needs of customers in all markets. Acts as technical liaison for the Marketing and Sales team.

Support M&S Team and customers on technical issues:
Calculations and recommendations wrt product and systems to meet fire, smoke, toxicity, thermal and acoustic requirements.
Comparative analysis of specifications and their fit for our products; coordinate the update of customer specs.
Spreadsheet/database manipulation, as required for updating program status, preparing presentations, etc.
Back-up for incoming customer inquiries from website and other sources, primary resource for those requiring technical information.
Maintain up-to-date competitive material data base covering all markets; provide competitive analysis by market as requested.
Direct outside testing, approvals, and certifications in support of all product lines, as requested. Analyze, summarize and assimilate information into product or process development and business activities. Maintain test database so information is up-to-date and accessible.
Central point for collecting customer needs as a starting point for improving and developing new products. Regular conduit for information flow to and from R&D Manager.
Travel as required for periodic sales meetings, trade shows, testing, and customer visits.
Candidate Qualifications and Experience:
B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
2-4 years relevant industry experience.
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures in field of insulation / polymer foams.
Proficient in use of PCs, e-mail, & standard office suite programs, especially Excel and Access. Experience using project management software.
Experience managing multiple projects, working with cross functional teams.
Strong skills / demonstrated ability in:
Analytical problem solving (systematic approach to solving problems).
Interaction (communicate with others in helpful manner while building credibility and rapport).
Written & spoken communication.
Tolerance of ambiguity (deal with unresolved situations, changes, unexpected events, multiple priorities).
